Job Context

The General Manager, Operations will be responsible for the overall business operation I.e. forecasting, production, store operations, supply chain, finance, HR & brand functions of Sweets Company S/he has to anticipate future trends, challenges, and consequences. Formulate breakthrough business strategies and plans to achieve a competitive advantage. S/he should be able to develop and implement local market positioning strategies. Also s/he needs to prepare budget for each store or project, achieve ROI, execute fund allocation and management and make the store or project profitable. The incumbent will report to the honorable Director of Company Group.

Job Description

Major responsibility areas & tasks: Key Result Areas Tasks Forecast Annual Demand Analyze trend and forecast annual market demand of products. Annual Production Planning Plan production of variety of categories of products including sweetmeats, confectionery items, etc. Calculate the capacity requirements of production facility and plan optimum output by analyzing different permutation and combination of products. New Product Development Assist in product development, pricing and new product launches as well as developing new business opportunities. Business Expansion Plan Ensure business expansion plan including increasing number of outlets in optimum locations. Sales Management Engage & guide team to achieve monthly & yearly sales target Analyze sales forecasts & relevant financials and reporting on product sales Analyze competitor & customer insights to provide excellent customer service Brand Management Create & manage promotional collateral to establish and maintain product branding. Manage the budget for advertising and promotional items. Lead the brand team including the social media associate and the e-com content team to promote and generate sales. Oversee digital marketing strategy for all channels. Determine ways to promote new and existing content on the website. Finance & Accounts Run feasibility tests and draw the annual OPEX & CAPEX budget in accordance to the business plan. Ensure achievement of targeted GP% Supply Chain Achieve sustainable and sufficient supply of production materials, logistics, etc. Compliance Ensure proper compliance in all the units i.e. corporate, production units and outlets. HR & Training Provide guidance & direction to all level employees, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Ensure proper training of all level of staffs as per requirement of the business Identify synergistic benefit opportunities that can be utilized in a cost effective manner across other business units of Group Miscellaneous Any other tasks/ assignment assigned by the management.

o Master's in Business Administration from a premier institute o Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in related field with at least 5 to 6 years in (large FMCG organizations – local and MNCs) o Knowledge of the consumer, brand & marketing, sales, trade and regulatory environment for the existing category o Budget-management skills and proficiency o Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field o Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges o Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies etc. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
