Job Context

Manager, Agro Projects will oversee the agricultural projects of Group at Panchagarh, Jessore, Khulna, Dhaka. S/he has to set the annual demand and production forecast of crops, grains, and other products. S/he will follow-up and propose corrective actions considering the GP target to be supplied to relevant concerns of Group and develop external channels. S/he will manage the daily operations of commercial agricultural operations. S/he will need to divide time between working in an office and supervising outdoor activities including travelling to meet with farmers & supervisors and ensure targeted yield. The incumbent will report to the Head of Agro & Supply Chain.

Job Description

Major responsibility areas & tasks: Key Result Areas Tasks Forecast Annual Demand Analyze trend and forecast annual market demand of products. Draw Annual Budget Run feasibility tests and draw the annual budget of production, and operation in accordance to the plan. Prepare budget for each project, ROI, fund allocation and management. Achieve Sales & GP Target Achieve sales target by forecasting and developing annual/monthly sales plan for area-wise projecting expected sales volume for products. Achieve annual gross profit target through strategic planning and execution. Plan Production Plan production of variety of categories of products including vegetables, crops, honey, etc. Plan optimum output by analyzing different permutation and combination of products. Bring viable innovation in production plan (i.e., solar energy, hydroponic production, etc.) Meet Demands Meet product demand of internal and external channels. Ensure implementation of all the processes like plantation & harvesting to ensure better yield Branding & Packaging Ensure proper branding & packaging of the agricultural products. Develop Alternative Channels Develop alternative channels in and outside of the country, i.e., institutional & corporate sales and export opportunities. Guide, Direct & Motivate Staffs Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Coordination & Team Management Coordinate actively with Meena Bazar and Meena Click team to understand their needs and incorporate into annual plan. Utilization of Resources Monitoring & controlling resources to ensure efficiency and overseeing the spending of money. Reports & Analysis Prepare project performance reports for management review. HR & Training Hire workers required on the farm and provide training to them. Miscellaneous Any other tasks/ assignment assigned by the management.

o MBA from reputed public/private university (i.e., IBA, NSU, BRAC, ULAB, EWU etc.) with Graduation from reputed Agriculture University (i.e., Bangladesh Agricultural University) o 7-8 years’ experience in related field (preferably in Paragon Group, Paramount Group, Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd., Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Pran Agro Limited etc.) o Need to have in depth knowledge about production, distribution & supply chain of farming, financial planning & feasibility and agriculture businesses processes. o High degree of business acumen and strong focus on results o Budget-management skills and proficiency o Has sound health condition to work and travel extensively is highly required o Good verbal & written communication & presentation skills in English and Bengali
