Job Description

• Lead a team of category managers and executives.
• Negotiation with Vendors for best possible prices and profit margins.
• Proficient in developing sourcing strategies.
• Great eye for detailed and experienced negotiation contracts with vendors.
• Strong rapport with MNCs and local conglomerates in FMCG supplies.
• Drive lower prices and higher profitability.
• Selection of right suppliers in various categories.
• Design consumer promotions and best deals and hand them over to Stores and Marketing team.
• Drive category wise sales and profit margin by closely working with store management team and marketing team.
• Ensure vendors are aligned with company compliances policies (BSTI, Vokta odhikar, Nirapod Khaddo, Krishi Odhidoptor etc.)
• Ensure healthy stock holding days, inventory turnover and closely monitor fast moving and slow-moving items.
• Explore direct sourcing opportunities for perishables and commodities.
• Control purchase orders to an optimum level and monitor on time supply to avoid sales loss.
• Track product availability at store level and warehouse level.
• Visiting suppliers’ plants and production houses.
• Visiting wet markets, wholesales markets, farms and built connection with farmers as well as strong rapport with agro sector.
• Represent company to BSTI, Vokta Odhikar, Nirapod Khaddo odhidoptor, Krishi Odhidopto and relevant govt. institutes.
• Explore new categories, products mix to give the company a sales and profit boosted.
• Come up with procurement strategies, yearly budgets.
• Partnership with different vendors (MNCs and Local) for win-win joint business plan.
• Be analytical to protect drain of cash and increase sales and profit margin

• Strengthen strong credit periods with vendors.
• Presentation skill to represent procurement achievement and future plans to higher management.
• Having in-depth knowledge on Value Chain and pricing strategy.
• Skilled to develop procurement related standard operating procedure.
• Organized, Disciplined and can manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Having technical skill to build proper system to track procurement performance and achievement by working closely with IT.
