Job Description

>Responsible for Planning, implementing, and managing the overall activities of the factory which includes full Administration, Engineering & targeted quality Production, and security of the assets of the Company.

>Responsible for Planning, implementing, and managing overall activities of Engineering & Production to achieve production targets with desired quality, in consultation with the Project Director and where necessary with the Vice Chairman and Chairman.

>Should have sound knowledge, especially of clay extruders and Hydraulic Presses.

>Should have sound knowledge of Heavy Equipment such as Hydraulic / Pneumatic Machinery / PLC system machinery/ Boiler/Diesel Generator and others.

>Responsible to remain in touch with all suppliers through Commercial Department for foreign purchases and through Central Purchase Team for local procurement of machinery and spares as per specification after obtaining permission from the Management with the knowledge of the Project Director.

>Develop a well-trained "Maintenance & Repair Team" comprising of skilled personnel through proper training within the Engineering Department who will always remain ready to act on orders, at all times even on holidays to handle emergency situation effectively.

>Maintaining liaison with the local administration, Govt. /Semi Govt. and private organizations in connection with the smooth operation of the factory.

>To analyze the manpower status and submit the proposal to the Management for scrutiny and further action.

>Identifying the bottlenecks (if any) amongst the workforce and then resolving by all means to create a harmonious relationship for developing Good TEAM Work.

>Identifying the external threats including the troublemakers and resolving those by all possible means to create safe & secure working conditions.

>Maintain consistent liaison with the overseas & local suppliers of machinery, equipment, spares, etc. with a view to accomplishing the tasks as per the approved design, avoiding confusion and delay.

>To monitor and control production costs, including labor, raw materials, utilities, and maintenance expenses. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing measures to optimize operational efficiency without compromising product quality.

>To stay updated with relevant industry regulations and ensure compliance with environmental, labor, and safety standards. Maintain necessary documentation and records related to regulatory requirements.

> Any other job as and when assigned by the Management.

Additional Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering

A degree in Electro-Mechanical will be an added advantage.
