Job Description

  • Manage and resolve all industrial relation issues at factory sites, including negotiations with local authorities and employees.
  • Ensure all site-related legal compliance are met, including registration, licenses, and renewals as per local labor regulations.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to resolving potential conflicts and labor disputes to avoid disruptions in factory operations.
  • Coordinate with line managers and supervisors to monitor labor practices and adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to industrial relations, compliance, and workforce management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for handling grievances and facilitating resolutions effectively.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for improving employee relations and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate employee disciplinary process and grievances handling. 
  • Ensure employee disciplinary issues are fairly and consistently implemented and in accordance with workers condition of service across all department.
  • Advise management on all matters that involve conflict between employees. Assist in the development of IR and ER labor protocols, operating procedures and handbooks.
  • Ensure the employee welfare such as Canteen, Drinking Water, Transport, Good Housekeeping and wellness program for staff is clearly documented and that staff are aware and regularly updated of the resources available to them.
  • Ensure compliance with regards to contract staff under the labor laws
  • Advise & represent management in matters before courts & tribunals, institutionalizing sustainable IR policies.

Additional Educational Requirements

Candidate should have prior experience in employee relations or industrial relations. Strong experience in dealing with unions.

Proven working experience as an Industrial Relation field to help both management and employee by formulation of labor law practice and in their transition into action.6+ years of practical Job experience and good knowledge of labor laws.
