Job Description
- Architect, deploy, and manage an open-source SOC using tools like the ELK stack, OSSEC, and other open-source security technologies.
- Analyze and respond to security incidents using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and forensic tools.
- Lead and perform regular VAPT activities across the infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
- Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats.
- Analyze security incidents, providing timely and accurate assessments.
- Collaborate with the SOC team to respond to and mitigate security incidents.
- Utilize security tools to investigate and analyze potential vulnerabilities.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective cybersecurity solutions.
- Conduct Risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide teams on security protocols, SOC workflows, and vulnerability management processes.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents, providing timely response and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging threats to enhance our security posture.
Additional Educational Requirements
Jobs Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on SOC management and VAPT.
- Expertise in open-source security tools, including SIEM (e.g., ELK stack, Graylog), SOAR , and threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, OpenCTI).
- Strong understanding of OWASP, CVE, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience in managing and responding to incidents in a SOC environment.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CPENT, CEH/CEH Practical or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Additional certifications in SOC management or VAPT (e.g., GIAC, GPEN, or OSCE) are advantageous.
