Job Context

We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Managing Director. S/he will provide strategic leadership and direction to the company, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The MD will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in investment management, capital markets, and business development.

Duties & Job Responsibility:

 Oversee origination, structuring, and execution of investment opportunities across asset classes.

• Strengthen relationships with institutional investors, corporate clients, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure robust portfolio management and risk control processes to achieve superior returns.
• Take full P&L responsibility, ensuring revenue growth, cost control, and profitability targets are met.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure strong internal controls, governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team aligned with CAL’s culture and values.
• Drive talent development and succession planning within the organization.
• Promote collaboration and accountability across departments.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate governance requirements.
• Report company performance, strategy execution, and major developments to the Board of Directors and Group MD.

Employment Status: Full-time. Will report to Board of Directors and Group MD.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or professional qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA, MBA) preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in investment management, financial services, or capital markets.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, deal execution, and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of Bangladesh’s financial markets, regulatory environment, and investment ecosystem.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.

Salary: Market Standard salary
