Job Description

1. Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

2. Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, technologies, and trends in the food industry.

3. Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

4. Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.

5. Oversee the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

6. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure successful product launches.

7. Conducted and oversaw applied research projects to improve existing products and processes.

8. Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

9. Develop and manage the R&D budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for projects and initiatives.

10. Work closely with suppliers, industry partners, and academic institutions to leverage external expertise and resources.

11. Participate in industry conferences and networking events to represent the company and share insights.

12. Ensure all products meet company standards and comply with relevant food safety regulations.

13. Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the R&D lifecycle.

Additional Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

6. Familiarity with current trends in the food industry, including sustainability and health-focused innovations.
