Job Description
Design & Development
- Develop designs and samples according to buyer requirements.
- Recharge and review each new style and design before production.
- Research and develop new printing designs and techniques as per bulk production requirements.
- Conduct color shade matching, print positioning, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
R&D (Research & Development)
- Lead R&D initiatives for innovative print effects, new materials, and eco-friendly chemical applications.
- Conduct trials, tests, and sample developments for buyers and seasonal collections.
- Standardize new printing processes and share learnings with production teams.
- Analyze test results and provide risk assessments related to print quality and fabric performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers for the development of cost-effective and sustainable printing solutions.
Buyer & Merchandiser Coordination
- Follow up, correct, and communicate with buyers and merchandisers on design comments and approvals.
- Advise the sampling team for accurate sample preparation and timely submission.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for print design, testing, and production risk management.
Production & Quality Management
- Monitor and ensure on-time printing production with the highest quality standard.
- Reduce wastage through process improvement and better resource utilization.
- Supervise machine operation and manpower to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain production, wastage, and quality records accurately.
Process & Compliance
- Implement and maintain 5S in the workplace to ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Ensure all operations follow company, health, and environmental standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for better production and quality outcomes.
Additional Educational Requirements
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (preferably in Wet Processing / Printing) from any reputed institution.
